If this is a free software, than yes, its perfectly legal. If you plan to make a profit, you should check with the authors, however, even if you didn't, I doubt you would find yourself in any legal trouble, you aren't stealing anything/ profiting off their work. Plus, this software is to make origamist's lives easier. I cant see how any fellow origamist could punish you for that

really I'm not sure, I have a problem with boxpleating algorith..... in order to program that I need +- $3000 then is a problem... Actually I spent $2800 and at this moment I don't have more money :S

Sounds like something for a Kickstarter project. Maybe you can raise enough funds to complete the project.

Sadder still, "Kickstarter cannot be used to fund software projects not run by the developers themselves." so someone else cannot attempt to fund you through kickstarter. This project looks quite amazing though, I really do hope there is a way to get you the funds you need to finish this.

Didn't know Kickstarter has such a limited radius only. But maybe you can try Indiegogo instead.
