Do you think modular folding is "pure enough"?

Not a fan of modulars

I have experimented with modulars by I don't like them as much as following a detailed diagram. Also it seems like a big waste of paper. When I'm folding modulars, I generally don't use my best papers!

I usually use memo pad squares, for a few dollars I can get about 500 sheets
