Dodecahedron Calendar

I've folded many rhombic dodecahedron calendars, using this generator:

I've noticed that there's a button to choose printing "Muff" units. These end up looking like Sonobe modules (I think--I opted to print them with the crease pattern and I think I folded them correctly); I just don't seem to understand how to make a dodecahedron (or anything similar) using all twelve of them (the best I've done is two separate cubes).
Please--if this is possible, tell me how while I have a few brain cells left. If this is impossible, please stop me now...
