If I want to glue 2 large 1meter rectangles for ryuzin 3.5, can I use white glue or transparent liquid glue? Spray glue dosent seem quite available here :/

I'm still very ver bad at gluing together two big sheets. So I'm not the best person to give advice. Anyway, I suggest you look for proper glue in an art shop. The thing is that common white glue can have too much water in its composition, so that can damp the paper. Also, don't forget to spread the glue smoothly. Maybe you can use a soft brush for that.

No idea what the English name for it is, but in German it is called Kleberoller.

This lengthy thread touches on a recurring challenge I have tried to find (unsuccessfully) a solution for: attaching four squares of paper in order to fold the resulting, larger one. One contributor mentioned selecting for models where the glued or taped seams do not show. From personal experience, especially folding models at a high-intermediate level, this is very difficult to do. And woe to the folder who discovers the model requires creasing or detailed work along one of the seams!

The solution seems ridiculously simple and frustratingly elusive: The ability to purchase numerous sheets that, either produced that way or along for the option, permit the origamist to work with "suitable" squares of paper beyond (say) 12" x 12". For me, 17"-20" squares would be ideal. Locally, I have tried an "old school" printing house (no, not the Kinkos kind), and even they don't have sufficiently large enough papers in their stock. Of course most people aren't interested in toting around quartos and rectos these days...

Short of beginning to make my own paper--which would likely not have the uniformity, thinness, economy of scale, and tensile strength I want--I empathize with other folders who sometimes resort to cannibalizing large (and costly) sketch pads...or trying to find gift wrap paper that isn't too garish. If you have solutions I am missing, please let me know. In return, here is an option for some of you: stiffened fabric (which I have also used in folding). It is still time consuming, and hit-or-miss, but bolts of fabric provide greater size to work with as well as, depending on where you go, interesting choices in material.

Thanks Charles. My help would depend on exactly what you need. Do you need the paper to be duocolor? Do you need it to be extra big? For example, if you need extra big paper and you don't need it to be duocolor, a good option is seamless paper for photography. That's the one used for the big folding event during the OrigamiUSA conventions.
