Effects of repositionable adhesive over paper?

Post by Gerardo »

I want to temporaly stick paper to glass using repositionable adhesive spray. I would spray the glass instead of the paper. When I stick the paper over the glass and remove it some time latter, will it become sticky, greasy, or just different someway from its contact with the adhesive chemical? What do you think?

Thanks guys.

It's one and the fastest way to check it out by doing it yourself :)

Thanks greencube07. I didn't completely get what you wrote but I think you meant I should simply test and see. am I right?

I did do a couple of tests with adhesive spray. I didn't like it that much but maybe it's just due to the brand I got.

If you are referring 'it' to the paper, it won't be greasy but just a bit sticky. Rather, a lot of Korean folders use hair spray on Hanji(Korean traditional paper) to make it condensed. Maybe this would help...?

Thanks greencube07. I was just looking for a way to stick it to glass but it does seem to leave paper being sticky. I guess tape is the best option for that.

Why not try using some thin mc solution/ wall paper paste to stick the paper? Will not stick fast to the glass and any shiny residue left on the paper after removal from the glass can be wiped away with a damp cloth.
I've used plain water to hold thin sheets to glass prior to sizing them, but it may curl at the edges as it drys though.
