Announcing my book

Post by Brimstone »

Hello everybody

I am pleased to announce the release of my first book. It contains diagrams for 20 models that were either created or independently discovered by me. There are 3 models that are simple and the rest range from intermediate to complex. All models are of the geometric kind, made from a single sheet, a genre that I consider that there are too few books solely dedicated to it. Sheets can be squares, rectangles, octagons, hexagons, dodecagons or triangles. Instructions are in English.

The book is available only in digital format, since I live in Colombia and selling it abroad would make it very expensive. I know some of you prefer a printed book, but this is the way it’s going to be in the future, so why not give it a try now.

This is a book with a simple design, just the diagrams and a few photos, but I am proud of my work and all the effort I put into it. You can check the models that are diagrammed in it at http://www.flickr.com/photos/georigami/ ... 9350643178

So if you feel like trying something new you can buy it from Origami USA’s store “The Source” at http://origamiusa.org/catalog/products/ ... rigami-pdf

Also please extend this message to anyone you think might be interested.

Hi everybody

I am pleased to announce that my first book "Because Origami" is now available through "Create Space" as a paperback. "Create Space" is a company acquired by Amazon that allows cheap printing as well as film and music publishing, with excellent quality.

I decided to have it printed since origami people seem to prefer hard copies and I did it, only after I learnt about this option of printing it.

The book contains diagrams for 20 models, all created or independently discovered by me. They are all of the geometric kind made from a single sheet. You can check the models diagrammed in the book at:

Crate Space offers a better deal than Amazon to authors, so if you decide to buy the book, I suggest you do it directly from http://www.createspace.com/ it is a site as trustworthy as Amazon itself. If you don’t trust Create Space you can also buy it from http://www.amazon.com/ or your local Amazon store.

I apologize to the people that ordered the digital copy when they preferred a printed copy, but at the time I published it in digital format, I had no idea a simple person could have a printed book since it was only through the members of this list Meenakshi Mukerji and JC Nolan that I learnt about Create Space and its benefits.

Hello everybody

One year ago I announced the release of my book “Because Origami” but since there might be new people on the forum I thought it would be a good idea to make a new announcement.

The book is available in digital format as well as in hard copy, it contains the diagrams for 20 models created or independently discovered by me and they range from simple to complex, you can check pictures of the models at:

You can buy it in digital format from Origami USA’s “The Source” (you don’t have to be an OUSA member to buy from the source).

Or from your local Amazon store. Use Jaramillo origami for your search criteria and you’ll find it
