The most annoying diagrams.

I have spent most of the day wondering why Tanteidan instructions are worse than individual artist publications.Despise it being in Japanese I have found errors and skips in tutorials and it's just not on.
The most common error is missing a rotation or flip.
Failing to mark mirrored repeat folds.
Hidden lines that add confusion to a magnified crease.
Disappearing background paper???

Dear Andre-4, I'd like to see a diagram drawn by you, with at least 50 steps. After you uploaded it for the Forum to evaluate, we can further discuss this topic. Until then I have to assume that you don't have a clue about drawing diagrams and are therefore in no position to criticize them in such a harsh way.

Yes because knowing the name of a program that can fold CP's is all it takes to make an origami diagram

Well, Andre-4, if you accomplish the task of drawing a diagram that features a model that hasn't been published before, you might as well submit it for the Christmas Origamibook 2018 and get is as a reward. The diagram just has to fit the rules of the book (never published before,...).

I shouted loud my on that post really wanting to chat...
My attitude of silently waiting my turn hasn't paid off on my unanswered posts but then it seems to be a cathartic process ..once I've posted where I'm stuck or why the instructions aren't clear a lot of the time I become successful....great
Back to this scathing critique...artists aren't above reproach but there are some who get it..
The Average Origamist on YouTube has done a video specifically only with the steps that are overlooked in the diagramming..2 and half hours long
When you're in that novice to intermediate stage and they figure if you have the book then you already know.. But those who work or want a social life or not to take it out on your kids know this is the place to ask for advice..
When it comes to software to aid the process Oripa has upped the game for mobiles and I'm sure Michelle Fungs followers and Hecklers are encouraging challengers to try to out do her Oripa app that she marketed.Upping the stakes for women in origami
There are many unknown ones on Google play ..for maths based sonobe and kusudama type Polyhedra I used

MoSTELLA3d...really excellent..it doesn't work out how to fold the units but shows possible assemblies of a mathematical sphere..When it comes to Johann Kepler-poinsot and Waterman polyhedron...stewart toroids.. the best artists are Ekaterina Lukasheva ..Miyuki Kamamura..and this person who's site I traced to Athens..https://drive.google.com/file/d/1uIc6vZ ... p=drivesdk
Most of her best models are waterman polyhedra bit she does other categories There is somebody in India developing a paperfolding program but it will be for p.'c..
Nicholas Terry is talking about Affinity program here he is in France I'm not sure what format but he is more than excited.being that diagramming is not his strongpoint
