Is this website legal?

Post by Folderp »

Hi, I've been thinking about origami diagrams recently, and I've been wondering, is this site (Link removed by Moderator) legal? I don't want to use illegal diagrams, so it would be appreciated if anyone knows.

You've got to be kidding for asking such question. Are you sure you're not prommoting the site in disguise?

Short answer: No it isn't legal.

Long answer: A website that offers books like "Works of Satoshi Kamiya" for free download can't be legal. There are tons of other copyright protected diagrams on there as well. Sure, a good couple is also available for free elsewhere, still, this doesn't mean they can be shared elsewhere without permission and I highly doubt the owner of the site got permission for putting the diagrams there.

For this reason I had to remove the link from your post (in the text as well as in the title).
