Photo diagramming vs vector diagramming

Which one is easier to make and which one is easier to follow and looks the best to you?

Photodiagrams are much easier to make but less clear. Digitally-drawn diagrams are the opposite--easy to follow but a pain to make (as each line has to be drawn individually at the correct angle and place).
My personal preference has always been digital diagrams simply because they're almost always cleaner and easier to follow. The disadvantage, as I stated, is that they take a long time to draw (as opposed to simply taking a photo of each step).

I totally agree with Baltorigamist. Computer drawn vector diagrams are cleaner and easier to follow than photo diagrams and also most hand drawn diagrams I've ever seen, but they are a lot of work.

Some time in the future I have to try out Affinity Designer to see what all the hype is about until then I'll stick with Macromedia Freehand as long as it runs on my operating system.

You didn't ask this but I thought it was important to also mention that most serious folders will tend to prefer vector diagrams over photo-diagrams. And I think that most infrequent folders prefer photo-diagrams over vector diagrams, although I believe they prefer instructional videos over those two. So I suggest you have in mind the kind of folders for your models .
