What is the best origami rose
Hi all,
Could you give me some help on the following, please?
What is in your opinion the best origami rose? And which one is the best trade-off between beauty and difficulty?

Re: What is the best origami rose
I'd probably go with one of the many Kawasaki Rose variations.
My preferred one is the simple version with the precreasing method by Kevin Hines. I like it because it is fast and easy to fold and very clean.
The most realistic variations of pentagonal twist roses are probably the ones by Naomiki Sato. He's written a book on the subject and there are also a couple of videos out there.
There are many other beautiful roses out there, but I think those are the most important ones.

Re: What is the best origami rose
My personal favorite rose is the "A Miura-Ken Beauty Rose" by Robert Lang, but it's extremely difficult to fold well.
I have a one-sheet rose design on my old Flickr account here.
Come to think of it, mine is only fourfold symmetry, so I might try to come up with a fivefold version.

Have you tried the 1 minute rose? It is fairly simple, nice, and easy to make.

You are welcome Also, while technically not a rose, Lang's orchid blossom looks nice.
