I developed
The first part is from Kawasaki's rose leaves. The middle part I thought up, but was probably already a thing. The last part is the traditional crane.
Before folding the cranes, it's just four squares attached at a point (at the limit). So really, any model that can be folded leaving one corner free can be folded. Including the base pattern itself
Which means, in theory, as many connected squares as you want... which can be folded into cranes or whatever.
So I was going to see if anyone had ideas for other models that can be folded with a corner pinned. I'm pretty sure the lily would work.
