Christmas Origamibook

Dear fellow folders,

I want to start a project with the target to give every participant a
nice Christmas present. That´s the way: Everyone who wants to
participate sends me (at least) one previously unpublished folding
instruction. Afterwards I assemble them all into a pdf-file with a
table of contents and send it back to all participants. In the end
everyone of them gets a nice compilation of diagrams that aren´t
available elsewhere.

Everyone who wants to take part of can send his/her instructions to
"origamibook AT gmail DOT com"

Closing date is December 15.

I'd love to take part, but sadly I don't have any christmas designs :( I'll have to get designing

It doesn't have to be Christmas designs. It's meant as a Christmas gift from designers/diagrammers for other designers/diagrammers. You give one (or more) diagram(s) as a gift and get many in return :-)

Hand drawn in JPEG format?
I can't draw diagrams on the ompurter, so all of mine are hand drawn, which I would have to take a picture of, that ok?

I personally have to stick with mspaint :( Takes me hours, but I feel great when I'm finally done :D

Hand drawn works for me...
You can use Inkscape which is free and vector based. Probably better than MS paint..... lol

Crease patterns too? Not just a crease pattern, but like diagrams for model X and a crease pattern for model Y

I'm thinking about sending a few sets of diagrams, and a crease pattern or two. I think that crease patterns would be fun.

As soon as I figure out how to do everything on Inkscape (thank you Aznman) I will diagram my rabbit. If I design anything else, I will try to digram it, too :D

Hand drawn diagrams are good enough :D

If you want to send crease patterns please don´t forget to submit a picture of the finished model as well.

So, who is still learning how to design is somewhat out of this, right?
The idea of the project is really nice!
I hope it will work well!

Well you have nearly two months to come up with something, just keep it simple ;)

Hi,

I was kind of hoping to read a reply to Morgan's query. Will step-by-step photos work or does it have to be diagrams?

Himanshu.

Step by step photos are ok with me as long as they aren´t published elsewhere (e.g. this Forum).
