Hi,

Just wondered how many people make their own Origami cards?
What models do you use?

I like using Michael La Fosse's butterfly to stick directly onto cards or envelopes (made around 30 for my brother's engagement).

Hans Birkeland has 31 very very nice origami-tablecards on his webpage:

if you want to fold tablecards for any kind of celebration, these models should be your first choice :) I love his work... check it out, you can also use them as greeting cards instead of a table-cards.

Hi Chris,

Yes, Hans has a fantastic site - I love his books especially! :-)
I meant to say wether people make their own Birthday, Christmas, Easter cards. I just made 30 engagement cards for my brother's engagement (not table cards, but the actual invitation cards).

So far I've noticed that the models that work best are those which are simple and thin, so that they don't buldge too much. So, the traditional flapping bird, Yoshizawa butterfly work incredibly well. I've actually been to Creased for some inspiration.

If you've made any invitation / birthday cards yourself I'd love to know what models you've used, and if possible some pics!
