Re: ORIPA
Sorry if I'm over-posting but I'm having another problem. I've drawn everything precisely with all the references in the correct place for that weird part but here's another error I get:

Re: ORIPA
that's one of basic things you have to learn to do in oripa - if you have 3 lines intersecting at one point you can easily find the fourth by constructing "cut edge" around it
Re: ORIPA
Wow, this makes things so much easier, thanks for the tip!

Re: ORIPA
Is there a way to do a fold in ORIPA where you align two sets of points?
Cus I want to draw the CP for my Ghost Orchid, and it involves folding the bottom right corner to the top edge while the bottom edge is on the midpoint of the left edge. (It's a common Robert Lang reference fold.) I can post a picture if you need it.

Re: ORIPA
Oripa doesn't find creases for you, you have to put them where you want them to be. I think for your request, you'd have to do the trigonometry. I have tried to do it but I have no clue where those points end up, except a little above the middle on the right and a little below 1/4 on the left hand side.

Re: ORIPA
Am i missing something i should be checking for?
I checked that odd angles add up to 180, and that there is two coloribility, and that the difference between mountain and valleys are exactly two. ORIPA no longer has any red dots on any vertexes, but it shows messed up shading when I click "Check window" and it says there is an error when I click "fold". Here is the CP in ORIPA:
And here is the "Check window"
And here I am manually checking the two coloribility:
In case you are interested, here is the "Square/river packed" CP I made (just in a graphics tool, not ORIPA). The paper in this image is between 0 and 20 on the x and y axis:

Re: ORIPA
I just made the CP and it folded without problem. I'm guessing those lines thicker than the others are the culprit. Delete one and find if there is another one beneath it.Foldtastic wrote:Am i missing something i should be checking for?

Or PM me an email address than can receive attachments and I'll send you the file.

Re: ORIPA
Yeah, double lines are the case... Try deleting every line in that square area and redo them. If there's any line that you have to delete two times, then you'll know that's the line that's causing the trouble.

Re: ORIPA
Or start CP from beginning. Sometimes that's the best option you have.
