I think mine would be something like an Ent from Lord of the Rings. Those were always my favourite creatures from the movies. Anyone else have one that wasn't made before?

Valefor from Final Fantasy 10. That is one of my favorite summons from this game.

Edit: Two other monsters that I would want to become an origami model would be the monster from Cloverfield, and it's little minions. :D

I have been watching some animes the past few months, and some characters come to mind:

Ichigo Kurosaki from Bleach
Alphonse Elrich from Fullmetal Alchemist
Zero from Code Geass

By the way, have you seen Eric Joisel's ent? It's not what you'll see in the movies if that is what you are going for, but it is a well executed interpretation.

Yes I have seen that model, and I wish I could model something like that :(

I tried making my own Link from the Legend of Zelda games, but I got too ambitious and then gave up, haha. It's head looked good but that's about as far as I got. I haven't seen any other attempts...
Samus Aran would be cool too but there's too much detail... would look better with more than one sheet.

There's a big part of me that thinks, "if a model can be made, in any way, then I'd use two sheets." Only if it were an absolute favourite. Then again, something that has a taller stature like an Ent or something of the like would probably need two sheets

Forgot to mention I tried to fold Ichigo once, but I think I was too ambitious with the design. He had a sword flap in one hand and a flap on the other side to make it symmetric that I was going to turn into the strip of cloth wrapped around the hilt of his sword, but the flap was way too long/thick to be a good thin ribbon.

I am trying to design Zero now and it is looking more promising.

Eh, I believe most things can be made from one sheet, including an ent. Any extra paper on the sides can be put to good use. It depends on how skilled the designer is as distributing paper.

I have always wanted to see this Balinese Garuda bird (without Vishnu the God mounted on top of it) folded from a single square sheet.

But what are the chances some great designer will actually make it.. :P
I wish I was a great designer.. :?

Wow that is really cool. It reminds me of the bahamut, just done a little differently.

I don't know if Kaimon succeeded, but maybe he can tell us himself?
Never seen a version by Satoshi or Jason though.
