Hi Guys

I looking for some help, Just getting into origami loving it
however have hit a brick wall with something called a stretched bird base. Reading Robert Harbin Art of Origami and cant get my head round this base any suggestions.

I don´t have the book, but I think what you are looking for could be this:

First of all make an ordinary bird base. Than take the front ond the back flap and stretch them apart until they lie flat on one line. Now valley the crease between them, pressing the two remaining flaps together. Ready!

Actually, Christian, that's a reversed or a sunken bird base. The stretched bird base is a different beast. I'll see if I can find a picture online...

Edit: this model of Eeyore the Donkey starts with a stretched bird base. Steps 1-19 show its construction.

Thanks Joseph that link was just what I needed, that was first time i have completed the base without ripping the paper.
