F!cking awesome Brimstone.
I remember watching Between the Folds over and OVER again, trying to figure out how Chris Palmer made that 12 point FT. That day I finally got it, i couldn't stop smiling! Cool paper choice as well.

It's Stardream, my favorite media.

So I finally figured out the flower tower, but I have a problem. Why doesn't mine pop like his? I want mine to pop!

Also where can you get stardream paper?

Regarding the pop question you mean a flower tower like the one in the video? If it is so I think it is a problem with the references used. Both models look the same but one pops wile the other one doesn't.

Regarding Stardream depends on where you are. Some online sources (that I haven't tried, I buy mine at a brick and mortar store) are: http://www.craftcreations.com/Leaf/2495 ... rl-Sheets/ http://handmade-paper.us/page/CPO/CTGY/stardream

Arjo Wiggins is very similar to Stardream and seems to have a better distribution chain: http://www.arjowiggins.com/index.php?op ... 30&lang=en

it is a lovely paper, brimstone, as well as beautifully folded. do you feel it's suitable for representational origami at all?

Someone with the proper creativity (i.e. not me) could use this shapes as decorations or details for heads, hats or something else in representational origami.

Myabe you meant only the paper and not the models (sorry I got a comment about using these on representational origami on my flickr).

The paper holds the creases very well but you can't shape it unless you use MC. Anyway the paper is no longer available, the company that used to make it, stopped manufacturing it for some reason.

I have to say, I am really glad there arent any guides for this anywhere. By sitting with this project on and off for over a year, sometimes not touching it for months, I have learned a lot. Inspite of there not being a shortcut I finally figured it out. I never understood what the hell decreeping meant. I think I understand it now. I am so happy with my final result. I urge anyone still reading this thread who is frustrated, and cant get it quite right, to stick with it! There is a huge payoff when you start to get an intuitive sense for how these things come together. I will have pics of it soon...also, Kraft paper is awesome.

I hope to try it with ten points next time (mine has eight). And maybe with some better paper....
