Re: Sara's Video thread: wish a model

Hi everyone!
Happy St. Nicholas Day! At least here in Germany that's what we celebrate on December 6th.
It's a tradition here for children to put a boot infront of the door and hope for some small presents. Back when I was younger those were apples, oranges, nuts and such, or even some chocolate - especially a chocolate santa.
So today it's a pleasure for me to share that tradition with you and put a new video in your boot.
It being December, I wanted to share something with you that fits the season - and what better model than a modular star, which you can also hang on your tree, your windows, your door, or give away as a small token of appreciation?
Klaus-Dieter designed his star "Hilli" less than a month ago, and taught it to me the the very next day. It's a pleasure for me to teach you how to fold it now! Thank you, Klaus-Dieter, for your creativity and your permission to present this model!

I've also added English and German captions to the video, you can activate them in the bottom right corner of the player (a small rectangle that shows two lines in the bottom).
Also check out Klaus-Dieter Ennen's website http://www.origamist.de - which also has diagrams for this fantastic model.
And if you like stars or generally enjoy this model, perhaps Klaus-Dieter Ennen's book on 117 star models is something for you: It's bilingual, in German and English - although the diagrams mostly don't have any text at all. But the introductory texts have been translated, so that you can appreciate the whole book, even without knowing German. http://www.happyfolding.com/book-ennen- ... gami_stars
And why not make it a Christmas present - for a fellow enthusiast, a newcomer to origami, or simply yourself?
I wish you a wonderful Advent and Christmas time, and of course happy folding,
-- Sara
