Sweet:) i want to fold that one:)
I finished my submission just a little while ago. Its a dragon, inspired by Charles Essltine's "dragon in flight" (for its stremlined look), but one that a lot more people will be able to fold. (a step up from previous designs i've had)
I cant wait to see what everyone else has subbmitted.

The problem is that I'm trying so hard, yet I can't find tutorials accross the internet or in the forum on how to draw the shapes. I can't find many of the tools that makes inkscape so legendary in the origami world!!! Any computer guy who knows me knows that I have been asking on how to use inkscape and visio. Drawing cp is easier as all you need is to trace the lines with photoshop.
well, you know what I have done:
I used microsoft word, the simple drawing-function. with the gadgets
- group the objects
- copy
- paste
- "ungroup"
- drawing/changing the lines / adding new lines (to the old diagram)
- group the objects once again
- copy (the "new" diagram)
- paste
and so on
I could draw the diagrams - maybe not like an expert, but it looks fine.

Or you can use Microsoft paint. Thats what i did, you can save at each step and only redraw what gets changed in the picture between steps and use different colors of lines or make dashed lines to indicate different folds. Not as neat as what you get in a book from the store, but easy to understand still.

Or you can use Inkscape, a free downloadable vector graphics editor, to get book (or near-book) quality diagrams.

Yay!!! I decided I'd try to make a few models, in case there were more Christmas books, and I have a few!!!
-Triforce
-Millipede
-Worm(if I can figure out the few problems...)
-Simple Dragon
-Simple Grasshopper (If I feel like it)
Who knows, maybe, with having such simple models (due to my VERY low level of designing skills), I can even try to whip up another one!!!

At the moment there are 53 instructions by 29 authors. Seeing that in the previous years I always got the main part of the diagrams in the last week I think this is a good start.

Yeah, Angry Demon, screenshot is pretty much your only option. The other way is that you can export it as a .dxf which can be opened by some CAD programs I think.

Ray Schamp has an applet that converts ORIPA to jpg, png, or gif, called ORIPA viewer. He also hosts a mod of ORIPA that supports export to SVG as well as a few other features:
