More like ..where to start?
Hi, Where is a really good place to go to learn origami. Some of the books are a bit complicated and seem to leave out steps. I have found one or two sites that use flash to actually show how to do a certain figure. Or a really good book like 'Origami for Dummies' Thanks!
Creativity = The learning process

There's no substitute for having a real live teacher. Since you're in Seattle, I suggest you drop in on PAPER (Puget Area Paperfolding Enthusiasts Roundtable...I think I got that right). Here's the latest meeting announcement:
[quote]This coming Sunday, August 14, will be the next meeting of PAPER (Puget Area Paperfolding Enthusiasts Roundtable). We will meet at the Redmond Library from 1-4 pm. We will be in Meeting Room #1 or 2, across the lobby from the entrance to the library. This month will be an informal, “fold-for-allâ€

I forgot to post a link to their website: http://home.comcast.net/~origami_seattle/
And, if you feel like dropping in on the group here in Vancouver, let me know. We meet on the 4th Saturday each month.

Hi, I'm new here. A million years ago (when I was a child), I learned some origami. I'm trying to learn it again, but am currently up to my eyeballs in wadded up pieces of paper. I can't seem to do it over the computer Does anybody know of a teacher in the Santa Clarita, CA area (northern Los Angeles County)?

You might want to get in contact with the WCOG (West Coast Origami Guild)
http://www.folds.net/wcog/
I'm sure they can help you somehow

There are several lists of origami groups worldwide available on the Internet.
Worldwide Origami Associations
Links to Organizations on Joseph Wu's Page
Groups in the USA
I'm not sure how uptodate those lists are but they should be a good starting point
