Newbie Looking for Lesson Plans

Post by Tad030 »

Hi everyone. I'm new to this forum, and I'm looking for origami lesson plans that would be appropriate for 3rd-5th grade students. Any ideas or suggestions would be most appreciated. Thanks!

Something I think is very nice for teaching and also is presented in a nice way are those two pages for traditional designs:

http://dev.origami.com/images_pdf/trad_page1.pdf
http://dev.origami.com/images_pdf/trad_page2.pdf

It gives a good and quick introduction into the basic folds and bases, and you should be able to split it up into several lessons depending on your needs.

So long and keep folding ^_^

What kind of lesson are you wanting to use origami for?
Math?
Culture?
Art?
Something else?

Google is your friend - Origami Lesson Plans

The Shumakovs' website also has a large section on learning origami:
