Depending on whether you have the new edition of ODS or not, I would say the Roosevelt Elk, although I don't know how well it would work with foil. If not, the Stealth Fighter or Bull Moose would look good.
From I&TK, the Hercules Beetle or Butterfly.
I don't have Origami Essence, so I honestly don't know.

Maximum 55 cm x 1000 ~ cm
Beige-yellowish
Ultra-thin
Tissue, not willing to make tissue-foil
Complex - Ultra-complex

Additional info:
- I prefer to fold from diagrams.
- I don't have all of the Tanteidan Magazines.
- I prefer to fold arthropods with these types of papers.
- I can only fold simple CPs. (Better work on that skill :) )

I'm trying to not waste this roll of paper, as it seems to be a good origami paper, but the color (beige) is rarely used in complex origami.

Kamiya's SHB looks real good in beige, i did it the other day with a similar paper:

Diagrams in tanteidan 14, and World of Super Complex origami.

another model that comes to mind is Lang's Black Forest Cuckoo clock - diagrams in ODS 2, and I believe 1.

Looks great in that beige! But maybe not mine. My paper is rather yellowish-beige, and is super thin and weak. The Cyclommatus I folded previously with the same paper can't be shaped (the paper's too weak) to a desired position.

Have you tried making double tissue with it? the added sizing and thickness should help greatly. plain, untreated tissue is terrible for folding.

Daniel Brown's spiny dragon might look good in beige. He's on this forum as Kareshi if you get stuck.
Your paper might be too thin though.

Indeed it might be too thin, but this magnificent model is definitely on my list. :)

How about the tenzen from the veitnamese origami group-50 hours of origami?
There would be loads in there perfectish for you, maybe not in beige though. Especially the last one, the big warrior king, forgotten what it's called, although it's from crease pattern.

Mammoth prignethus?
Roc?
Divine dragon?
Tenzen and the eagle from the same book? You could pose them like the photo of those two models together in the contents!
Any of these do?

Thanks for the suggestions, Will the elephant hide not be a little thick for some of those models (dragon, tenzen, eagle)? I've already folded roc from the last lot of elephant hide I got so I dont think I'll try that again, might give the mammoth a try though. Also, for the tenzen and eagle like in the book do you need to use different sized sheets? I'd guess you would

Hi, I've been reading these forums for a while and have got some great tips on good origami books and papers to get, and how to fold some models, and finally have a question of my own to ask!
I've recently got some lovely paper from Origami-shop (http://www.origami-shop.com/en/paper-or ... 1_226.html), and need some ideas of what to fold with it. It's double sided so I'd like some ideas of models that use both sides of the paper - I've used one of the sheets to fold the dragon from Origami Design Secrets and it looks great, I don't want to end up with three dragons though!

1. 35 cm square
2. brown/gold or black/gold
3. medium, see link above
4. foil/paper, see link above
5. any complexity, but due to the texture and thickness of the paper I'm not sure thin pointy bits eg insect legs would look very good (or at least, I'm not sure I could fold them so they would look good!)

Thanks for any suggestions!
