Origami and Japanese Culture?

Hello everybody,

I am an Origami enthusiast ... and also a college student in a Japanese Culture class.

I've searched and searched but could not find any academic information on Origami, and an analysis of it regarding to Japanese Culture, or on globalization, or the notion of peace.

Do any of you happen to know any books/ online resources that could be helpful?
