Re: Origami Chat
Awesome! I'll have to go on this one time. I usually have stuff on Tuesday nights, but I'll come on if I get a chance..
I would rather fail trying than fail without trying....

Re: Origami Chat
I'm going to try to sit in the rizon chat for all of you who want to talk to someone on there. I will try to be as active as possible.
If you want to know how to get on:
Go here: http://www.rizon.net/chat
(you may also go here for full screen: https://qchat.rizon.net/ )
Then put in your nickname.
Then put "#origami" (without the quotation marks) as the channel.
Then click connect.
This is a reference image just in case you do not understand how to do it still:
Note: put your desired nickname where it says "nickname". Do not make your nickname "nickname" like shown in the picture.
Then you click connect.
IF YOU HAVE ISSUES STAYING ONLINE:
Try the Mibbit client here:
http://client01.chat.mibbit.com/?server ... %23origami
Change your nickname and press go! Voila!

Re: Origami Chat
I still don't understand how to register a nickname. Am i supposed to type all that stuff in the url or what?
Re: Origami Chat
You don't need to register a nickname, that's optional. You only need to choose one that's not already taken, write it in the nickname field, write #origami in the channel field and click on connect. No password necessary.

Re: Origami Chat
It has come to my attention that perhaps some of you are having troubles with the rizon client for the irc chat.
To make it easier for you to log in and to stay logged in, I am going to put up steps for accessing the chat from Mibbit (another online client).
1. First go to this following link:
http://client01.chat.mibbit.com/?server ... %23origami
There should be a box on the page that looks like this:
2. Next, fill in your nickname where it says nickname.
3. Click the "Go" button and enjoy talking with your fellow folders!
Also guys, do note that if no one talks to you in the first 5 minutes--don't worry, we probably just haven't noticed you come online yet and we will eventually.

I haven't been on lately due to homework but I can try to be on nights from 20-23 EST if that is closer to you are online? Most often I find people are active around 17-21 GMT.

Re: Origami Chat
Strange. I always use the ChatZilla Add-on for Firefox and getting on the chat works just fine for me.

Re: Origami Chat
First thing I notice that could be wrong is that you are connecting to the mibbit server. Where it has the mibbit server, click the drop-down list and find "rizon" or something along those lines.
But it should have let you connect to the mibbit #origami channel regardless...so I am unsure of what it is. Perhaps it is a plugin issue, so maybe check that your flash player is updated, and maybe try it in a different browser.
