Agree would update diagram for more in depth (such spider step 25 sink,31 add lines.
Bubo wrote: I think calling them "full diagrams" might be a tad misleading. Many of the diagrammed steps are more like illustrated collapses... but be aware that the approach to folding this model is far more like collapsing a crease pattern than say folding from a set of Kamiya or Komatsu diagrams.

Yes, you're right ... (( Unfortunately, three diagrams in this book made a very specific type - I could not describe in the other style, but the other 18 - the chart is really a "step by step"

Some photos of the book

what kind of payment are you accepting? i kinda want to see if my grandma will get me this for christmas. 'course a 6-month wait for a book like this will be tricky (i could barely wait for just the shipping time for kamiya's first book!), but i can try!

I hope my "illustrated collapses" comment didn't come across as a criticism. It was actually meant as a compliment. I haven't dedicated the time needed to become great at solving and shaping crease patterns. Andrey's approach to diagramming his mantis shrimp takes the guesswork out of collapsing the CP hence making what would have been impossible for me - possible! If only I could find some suitable paper (my Kraft roll was neither big or thin enough)

I'm hoping Andrey that you will be taking PayPal (or making it available through Nic Terry or the OUSA Source).

jacoboqc wrote:Andrey, that's an amazing book. I don't wanna be boring but that's A LOT of information about origami techniques, just like ODS by Lang. It will be a pity if that book was only avaiable for russian people. Please please please please please please please make an English translation, I'm not the only one who will thank you for that.
i agree with you, there does need to be an english translation, but it would be a lot more work than its worth to translate it when he is providing a russian TXT file. besides, if he has already published the book, that makes it impossible. he would need to publish a whole new version.

and this book; its going to be bought by me. it is amazing.

Well it's the 20th now, although I know we live in the future here in Australia, so I'll send an email later today. I don't want to miss out when it is such a limited print run.

Here's a quote from Andrey's email to me:
Andrey's Email wrote:Currently I have several payment methods: webmoney (most easy), western union, banking transfer (will be avalible from next friday 27 july). Cost of book is 25 euro + delivery.
You can also use paypal system but the cost of book will be +5 euro (30 euro total) bacause of fees for transfer money from paypal to webmoney (paypal can not be cashed in Russian territory).
I know it's possible to make a paypal payment with just a credit card and no paypal account of your own. I do it quite often myself.

I try to make it, but it was too uncomfortable ... The consultant advised me to open an account in the USA, associate it with PP account, and then connect through a U.S. bank account with a bank in Russia ... The Commission is, of course acceptable, but if something happens during the transfer process, I can not control it and to ascertain the circumstances from Russia... About the other alternatives I have not heard :| In any case, tonight will be available bank transfer, of course, without PP-WM exchange tax...

Diagrams of the prize models are shown on the last color page previous the puzzle (p.213). In the diagram, they look so...
