anybody go fishing

Post by folding paper »

I'm beginning fishing and I live in Olney, Maryland. Is there any lake near me full of weeds in the water? Plus, does anybody else go fishing in this forum?

I used to fish a little in Scouts, but I don't really do it any more. I've caught a total of 6, mostly bluegills and a couple bass..
After the fall, we rise.

I'm going to do bobber fishing than lure fishing because lure fishing can catch some pretty heavy fish that are like 15-40 pound fish and my fishing rod can catch 14 pound fish and my line can catch 8 pounds.I hope I get a sun fish or carp.

i fish, but only with lures. i caught a couple of largemouth's the other day on plastic worms. and the line weight doesn't mean that you can only catch 8 lb fish, it means its strength is 8 lbs. i know someone who caught a 60 pound tarpon on 8 lb test.

Maryland is a bit north from me, haha. I live down in Georgia :)

but I'm sure there are some good lakes - pretty much, just look for a pond, lake, river, or stream that not many people go to. the fish don't know what lures are, so they are more likely to bite.

went ice fishing at my families cabin last weekend. Caught a couple crappies and bluegill. My friend caught a 30" and a 33" northern pike. I am supposed to get some pickled fish out of the deal, but I am skeptical.
