Needle Felting

Some years ago I was getting a little bit into needle felting but in the previous couple of years I didn't do anything. Recently my sister wished for an instructional book to do realistic needle felted animals. So I did some research, bought her two books on the subject and stumbled about this guy who does some incredibly realistic animals with needle felting: http://kiyoshimino.blogspot.co.at
Thought I'd share the link with you guys. He's got some pretty amazing stuff there (although not very puristic - he uses wire skeletons - but, well, I don't know if purism is a thing with needle felting anyway).
The better stuff comes a few pages in, so make sure to click the "older posts"-button a few times.

As a good starting point I can recommend this book: https://www.amazon.com/Needle-Felted-Ki ... 4865051007
It covers the basic techniques as well as how to make very lifelike fur and explains everything in great detail. Only two or three models are described but with so much attention to detail that afterwards you should be able to tackle every other animal with ease.
