I'm going into ninth grade this year, and I'm taking Algebra II. I can usually finish all my work in the first 30 minutes of class, leaving me free to fold for the rest of the time.

Well, I'm only entering grade 9, but I'm going to do grade 10 math because I'm in the talented and gifted program. I already got the textbooks though and finished them, so I won't have any problems. The textbooks are mostly algebra, geometry, and trignometry. In math class, I always finish my work so fast that I get to fold origami for the rest of the period.

im entering grade 8 but im doing grade 8 maths (yawn) and grade 9 latin:)

not that it really matters but i just like to say

btw I proved that you can divide into n parts just by dividing into n-1 parts and folding the lower right point to the first fold from the right and folding to the intersection. always works

Haga's Theorems (http://www.origami.gr.jp/People/CAGE_/d ... dex-e.html) covered that long ago xD! By the way, to call it a "proof" (in a mathematical way, at least), you need a series of logical implications that yields a conclusion for all the cases. You can't say, if it works for a very large number of examples, that it will work for every single possible one ;)!

i forgot almost all my math during the last 10 years but origami is getting me back... feels good after all that sacred geo and numerology.

Math usually is my highest score than the rest of the subjects, and we have special classes for that. I'm still in high school and I'm trying to decide on a college course... It's hard to decide >.< Engineering or Biology...., what do you think?

Origami taught me more than Math class, I must say.

Why is it not possible? Paper and creases can do equally as much as a straight edge and pencil can do if not more! :)
