I always loved "streets of london"... Ralph McTell even wrote it some years before '75 but the british audience didn't like it because it made them look bad

some years later he re-recorded it and it became a hit.
I even learned to play it on my guitar... a wonderful song, thanks for making me remember it Anna

a fun-horropunk song. the title means "my mentally disordered girl friend"

the chorus is:

yes I do... well at least I did when I was younger. I still own my guitar but I forgot how to play it. only a few songs are left that I'm able to play. I had guitar lessons for about 3 or 4 years twice a week.

i remember we used to sing "streets of london" back in primary school, as part of our assembly-singing-thing. pretty harrowing stuff when youre 9 or something

chris, that song sounds a bit like "meine explodierte freundin" by die arzte.. thats a cool song too, even if i dont understand it xD
