i skated about 4 years ago, got to ollie over the sidewalk and someone stole my board, so i stopped. i'm thinking of getting the Long Board to play with bcuz it looks really fun. There's also a side to side board, i'm not sure if you've seen it. I might just get that too and skate this summer as well....

I'm 43 and have been skating since 1976 (back in time of Jay Adams, Bobby Piercy, Tony Alva, Stacy Peralta, Wentzl Rummel and the rest of the Dog Town and Z-Boy skaters. Nowadays, my favourite skaters are Chris Haslam, Daewon Song, Andrew Reynolds and of course Rodney Mullen. If you haven't tried skateboarding then have a look at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqSNHOs2sdg or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-Ye5oJt48Q I'd rather skate like Mullen than fold like Lang. Actually, I'd rather do both - pity I'll never do either.

I started skating a few years back, but haven't done much on my board since. I can ollie pretty high (but then, can't everyone?), but I have a problem with the kickflip: Whenever I try, only one foot lands on the board - the other always goes to the side :(.
