I'm not much of a gamer, but in the past I have enjoyed Paper Mario on the Wii, Mario Kart and Goldeneye on the N64, a few of the Legend of Zelda games - Twilight Princess on Gamecube, Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks on DS, and Ocarina of Time (one of my all-time favourites) on N64.
Tomb Raider has always been fun. The controls of the newer games takes a little getting used to because they're different from the older games, but I think they're slightly better, even if I do miss the old controls.
The original Metal Gear Solid, the VR Missions add-on, and the first sequel were awesome.
Final Fantasy VIII (8) was very good, too.
More recently, after selling my DS and games in order to upgrade my PC (new graphics card, motherboard, RAM and CPU) I bought Batman: Arkham Asylum, which is a really great game. Some unexpected/disappointing parts but, overall, it's excellent.
The first few, fixed camera, Resident Evil games were fun as well. I'm not so keen on the new ones, though. The switch in format moves the games away from what I liked about the originals.

I really like the Metroid series (Gamecube/Wii), but I also like the Legend of Zelda games, most shooter games like Halo (I have yet to play Halo 3 as I don't have an xbox 360), but I mostly like puzzle/action games.
