Any cosplayers here?

Post by DragonFold »

It's a long shot but the heck, it's Japanese pop culture :)
By the way, if you don't know what cosplay is, it means "costume play". People dress up in their favorite characters from any anime or video game series just for fun (it's one of my hobbies, an expensive one too)

Imagine me dressed up as Konan(from Naruto) in an anime convention folding stuff for everybody xD

Sort of but it sounds like doing what you like? I dont know, but people should be allowed to do what they like to do. (to an extent)

There's nothing wrong with having a hobby.

In high school, my hair did sort of flat fro type of thing. I dyed it a slate green color to match Spike's from Cowboy Bebop, with the intention of going to a convention. I never got to go, so only a handful of people at school understood what it meant, lol. It probably looked rather odd.

Anyway, that's the most I've ever gotten involved in cosplay. I still haven't been to a convention and probably will never go at this point in my life, but I think it's fun to see what people can come up with for costumes.

i was larping a couple of times what is, lets say one step further than cosplaying. since I did roleplaying games for nearly 15 years, larping was good fun. but over all its pretty extensive. too extensive for my live :) and nothing (NOTHING !!!) really beats a good pen&paper rpg game.
I never understood the deeper meaning of cosplaying. but since I'm not very much into comics and I don't like to dress up, I'm probably not the one to judge about cosplayers :) it looks like a big vaudeville show (I needed to google that word :D ) and thats fair enough to me. not better or worse than metal heads, goths or bling-bling-rappers :D

I've never cosplayed before, but I kind of want to. If I did, I'd want to be either Death the Kid from Soul Eater or Lee from Darker than Black. But most of my friends cosplay often
