Re: What have you folded lately?
The robot face expands as the outer ring is pulled upwards.
Face Pieces are folded squares
The frames and straps holding the sculputre to the table are folded rectangles
All is folded and assembled without glue.

Re: What have you folded lately?
That was weird... impressive but weird. It must have taken you a long time to make that and figure out how to do it, and make it work. Does it fold back into the original position when you lower the ring?

Re: What have you folded lately?
This took about 9 days working 2 to 3 hours per day.
The side pieces must be placed back individually. ( checks, and side hair)
The vertical pieces ( forehead, nose, eyes, upper lip, and chin) are pulled together with a hidden strap. The spacing on the vertical pieces is controlled with red strips that pleats when the the hidden black strap is pulled together and open flat when the viewed black strap is pulled by the outer ring.
If this model gets a lot of attention, I will refold the straps so the action is smoother. If I do not get a lot of comments, I will move on to my next big project.
Let me know what you think.

Menschenfeind is closest. But I'm not converting, so don't worry. I stumbled upon it by chance.

Hey, at least I went the way of detail.

Strange......
I think we've been through this already but,
What actually is it? (apart from a piece of paper)
