Re: Picaruelo
Hello everybody,
this is my own design.
After folding 'Tired' and 'Very tired' the idea of a sleeping man using the same folding filosofy came to my mind. Designing this model was easy. It is also a 3x1 rectangle (22x66 cm). The key to a succeful model is the shaping part. I used wet folding techniques to shape the pillow and blanquets trying to make them look like real fabric. The paper is blue Geltex glued to orange silk

Picaruelo - your work is absolutely amazing and breathtaking. I especially love the animal figurines you makes. You have the proportions established perfectly. Also the Christmas scenery is incredible. I hope you're praised artist in Spain because you definitely deserve it!

Hi,
This model is a deduction of Fernando Gilgado's model "The Dancing Skeleton". You can see the original here:https://www.flickr.com/photos/gilgado/12252027414/: . The head and the hips are different. I designed it for the exhibition that is taking place in Madrid from the 15th of January to the 15th of February. It is located in Centro Cultural Pilar Miró. Pza/ Antonio Maria Segovia s/n

Hi, my new creation:
THE BEAR AND THE STRAWBERRY TREE
The Bear and the Strawberry Tree is the symbol of Madrid. It is part of its coat of arms. It is also a popular statue in the city center. I have folded it from a 96x96 cm square paper. What I like about this model is that it is half crumpled (tree) and half folded (bear). I am happy with the result althought I think I can still improve it modelling better legs and closing the back of the bear.

Hi, today I present my 10th musician, the sousaphonist:
Dwarf folded from a 63x63 cm square kozo paper. The model is a slight modification of Joisel's dwarf, adding two grafts to get a big moustache and squared shoes. Sousaphone folded from a 24x72 cm isosceles triangle kozo paper painted with deep gold acrylic. You can see more on this model in my blog http://picaruelo-english.blogspot.com.es

Hi,
my last model is my final dwarf in my music band. The harpist:
Dwarf folded from a 63x63 cm square kozo paper. The model is a slight modification of my Mylady to add pigtails and shoes. Harp folded from a 50x4,17 cm kozo rectangle kozo paper painted with brown water colour. The strings are narrow stripes of kozo paper (1mm wide). The model was designed by Eric Joisel and deduced and released by Ricardo Montecinos. The stool is my own design, folded from a square of 260 grams paper painted with black acrylic.
