Re: tskorigami
well, he's not cutting it, it looks like he's folding it back and forth until the crease weakens the paper and then tears it off. i can actually understand doing that. it gives you a fairly straight edge. if you don't have a cutting mat, certainly it gives you a straighter edge than if you were to use scissors.

Your works are all great. How long have you been making those? Anyway, I like your style in making them.

You don't need a cutting mat for that, just a cutter. You fold the uneven edge, crease and insert the cutter between the two layers of paper and cut it.bethnor wrote:well, he's not cutting it, it looks like he's folding it back and forth until the crease weakens the paper and then tears it off. i can actually understand doing that. it gives you a fairly straight edge. if you don't have a cutting mat, certainly it gives you a straighter edge than if you were to use scissors.

^^^
i've done that too. if you're OCD, there are still imperfections in the edge, and tearing it still gives you a straighter one, if raw. so it's a tradeoff.

Hey everyone, this is newbpcpfolder...under a new name I guess.
eudaimonia, you are correct I have been now trying to use a box cutter+plywood for the cutting, it's working wonderfully
AaronEmmet, thanks I use box pleating.
My latest folds:
Flying Atlas beetle
wasp
kid sitting on a chair (very old design, about 2010)
Dragon
Made this last summer, I just wanted to do something other than insects ^^
Kurama (9 tailed fox)
and my favorite of all these (along with the dragon):
Hinata Hyuga
I wanted to do something else, but I always had in mind I made a very incomplete Hinata, which I made 4 years ago. I wanted closure, so I made this. I think it's really good, and it's my only perfect character design so far. I plan on doing more.
I've been very busy with studies lately, so I haven't been able to fold as much as I'd like, but oh well. Studies are important too

It seems I found the password to my old account. Seems I had the password stored in my Google account.
Now I wonder what I should do with the account I created :/
