Re: Langko
I think I will give it a try if you are willing to put it up. I have to teach lots of people how to fold butterflies so I thought that this would be a very good example of a complex butterfly

Re: Langko
Well the butterfly is not very complex... Neither is the rest of the model. But shaping is quite difficult and requires a fair bit of imagination and creativity. If you want a complex butterfly I would recommend my butterfly design earlier in my gallery, the one with legs and colour change wings. Still, if you want to give the model a try I will be happy to upload the cp once I get it together
Ps: did the server go down for anyone else or was it just me?

Re: Langko
the server did go down for me too
I think that I would rather fold the one with the breach the other one is cool too but I only have one attempt at it because I only have one peace of paper large enough to fold them with. do you think that 30cm is big enough to fold it with?

Re: Langko
OrigamiGeek: ok, I will try and upload the cp tomorrow... 30cm is probably too small... Mine was from 50cm square. Anything less will make shaping even harder am you probably won't get a good as result as if you use a larger square.
Orikami: thanks!

Re: Langko
Ok, well the cp is now on my Flickr. Please take a look if you can forget about the new crappy layout for a minute... I can't post the picture here for the time being because I'm on a mobile device but I promise I will do that sometime soon

Re: Langko
I completed the fold and I am quite happy with it I changed it a bit because I started with the wrong side of the paper up and I couldn't quite understand how to fold the caterpillar

Re: Langko
Sea Turtle
Designed and folded by me from 1 uncut square.
Been feeling sick all week so I thought I would do a more simple model. Designed via free folding, first attempt. Folded from a 20cm square of terry tissue foil, boxpleated on a grid of 24. Hope you like it! CP will come in a few days

Re: Langko
Wow Langko, Looks like a simpler version of kamiya's. Looking forward to see the CP, although most likely I won't be to fold it.
Just a small thing I noticed, the hindlegs seem a bit to short compared to the rest of the body.
