Wonderful. And thank you for sharing your crease pattern. I may have to try one of these for the resident two-year old who just started ballet classes :-)

Thanks, I wish I had more time to make more CPs and diagrams.

And now, another CP, a violin inspired on Eric Joisel's violin. You can see a photodiagram of the model in my blog http://www.picaruelo.com or http://picaruelo-english.blogspot.com.es/

Working on my next dwarf I have designed this saxophone. I am still working on the CP and a photodiagram but I will release them soon in my blog.

It is folded from a 18x60 cm Elephant Hide paper. Final height of the model: 24cm.

I must admit crumpling is interesting, it really does work to a great effect on some of your models, but not always. not saying anything bad against a new technique, having new techniques is good, but no technique is all-powerful or suitable for everything, imho.

Hi, I agree with you. It is just a different technique. The important thing is being able to use different techniques and apply the correct one in each situation.

For example, right now I am working on an insect/arachnid series using crumpling. I have already posted my dragonfly in my flickr page but I have also developed a stick insect, a mosquito and a spider. I like the end result but of course they are completely different to 'traditional' insects. However, I haven't been able to design a satisfying crumpled beetle because it has smooth areas that are incompatible with crumpling. At least, I haven't fount the way to do it yet!!!!

Thanks Origamipete for your comments,

Hello all.

I just came back from the AEP Seville Convenction in Spain. What a great meeting. I took there the sixth dwarf in my Jazz Band. It is the cymbal player, an easy pick this time. Here it is:

The last days have been busy for the Spanish and Peruvian speleology community. After 12 days trapped in Inti Machay Peruvian cave, Cecilio López has been rescued thanks to the join efforts of nearly 100 people mostly from Spain and Peru. Today many of them have come back to Madrid.

You can see more about the rescue (in Spanish) here:

A good day to release PICARUELO CP:

Hi, a new model:

Image

It is based on Junior's model 'Trop Fatigué!".
You can see it here http://www.leplieur.com/A/galery.htm

It is folded from a 3x1 rectangle, one square for the man and two for the sofa. I had lost a very rough CP that I once had so I had to completely design the sofa. I don't know if the original model has color change but it is relatively straightforward to do it. I chose those colors because they are complementary and they fit together nicely. It is wet folded form a 22x66cm rectangle. The paper is blue Geltex glued to orange silk

Good folds!!!

Hi,

Image

As my previous model, this one is also based on one Junior's model, "Fatigué!". You can see it in http://www.leplieur.com/A/galery.htm. It is folded from a 3x1 rectangle, one square for the man and two for the armchair. Some time ago I had seen a folded model so I knew the basic structure. Creating the armchair and the color change has been easy. The proportions of the armchair can be easily changed. It is wet folded from a 22x66cm rectangle. The paper is blue Geltex glued to orange silk

Good folds,
