manilafolder - gallery

Post by manilafolder »

Hi all,

I'm new to the forum but some of you may know me from Flickr. Most of my designs are modular, but I do a few representationals:

Image
Pentakis Dodecahedron by sin cynic, on Flickr
30 uncut squares of Stardream

Image
Tetrakis Hexahedron by sin cynic, on Flickr
12 uncut squares of Stardream

Image
Deltoidal Hexecontahedron by sin cynic, on Flickr
60 uncut 3x4 rectangles of Stardream

Image
Deltoidal Icositetrahedron by sin cynic, on Flickr
24 uncut 3x4 rectangles of Elefantenhaut

Image
Compound of Two Truncated Tetrahedra by sin cynic, on Flickr
24 uncut 1x2 rectangles of Stardream

Image
Eighth Stellation of the Icosahedron by sin cynic, on Flickr
30 uncut 2x3 rectangles of Stardream
Visually identical to Tomoko Fuse's "Kompeito" but uses a different folding sequence and different sized paper.

Image
Compound of Dodecahedron and Small Triambic Icosahedron by sin cynic, on Flickr
90 uncut squares of Stardream

Image
Second Stellation of the Cuboctahedron by sin cynic, on Flickr
24 4x7 rectangles of Stardream

Image
Compound of Two Dodecahedra by sin cynic, on Flickr
12 uncut squares of Elefantenhaut

Image
Giraffe Weevil III by sin cynic, on Flickr
one uncut 18" square of tissue foil

Image
Origami Periodic Table by sin cynic, on Flickr
1414 uncut 1.5" x 3.5" rectangles of cardstock
Uses the same units as Jeannine Moseley's "Menger Sponge". Took 5 months to fold, including calligraphy.

Amazing work! My favorite is probably either Compound of Dodecahedron and Small Triambic Icosahedron, or Compound of Dodecahedron and Great Dodecahedron. T

Pretty intense modular folds. I wish I could make modulars but I never had a the knack.
