Re: Joseph Fleming's Designs
If the rules stipulate that the model has never been published before that may be an issue, as I've been talking to someone to put my holly model into a Latin American magazine for free publishing.
Also I don't like the exclusivity of the project. That's why I suggested to contact me directly, and also encourage others to share the files; I freely offer my diagrams to any who are interested in folding.

Thing is, the diagrams that get published in the Christmas Origami Book, can be published elsewhere after January is over. Many people including myself use this opportunity. The exclusivity initially was thought to encourage folders to draw diagrams for there models by offering them the possibility to get a bunch of new diagrams in return.

Re: Joseph Fleming's Designs
I would love to give my diagram to others, but I have been in talks with a free magazine about publishing during the same time the Christmas book comes out. I guess I could submit, but I still wanted to help the magazine. The rules don't say simultaneous publication is disallowed, only previous, and the magazine is small, so it might slide.

I don't see a problem with that, honestly. You have 2 months, so if you absolutely needed to you could probably draw a diagram for another model you have designed

Re: Joseph Fleming's Designs
Hey everyone! I have three new models, which I designed for the November Challenge!
I call the set "The Paper Jug Band":
My favorite model of the bunch is the spoon:
Here's close up of the washboard:
And here's two different sized jugs:
I'd love to know what you guys think, and any ideas you have for future models!
(The apple core proved harder than I anticipated, so it's on hiatus. But that doesn't mean I've given up!)

Here are my two newest models (though you may have seen them before if you frequent other boards)
The first is the model I made for my Suggest-A-Fold thread:
And this was created for the February 2015 Folding Challenge:

Re: Joseph Fleming's Designs
I created a joke design for October's folding challenge, but I made a serious model afterwards.
Here are two ducks. One is 10in and the other is 2.375in from tail to bill.

Re: Joseph Fleming's Designs
For my last model of the year, I folded an Emperor's Crown. It still need an ornament for the top, but I'm happy with it as it is right now.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Years everyone!

Nice one!Nepafarius wrote:For my last model of the year, I folded an Emperor's Crown. It still need an ornament for the top, but I'm happy with it as it is right now.
At first sight, it reminded me of Tsuchido Eiji's "Ring" from "Tanteidan 2nd Convention" (even though they only share a vague resemblance...).

Re: Joseph Fleming's Designs
I finally was able to make a stand for my origami seahorse!
I started off with a wire frame:
Then I made I used cold porcelain to create the design:
I painted it:
And here is the final result:
I'm thinking of doing other stands for my models, as I have a bit of the cold porcelain left over.

Excellent lamp, congratulations, instead of just another animal, people should design more inanimated objects in origami.
Also have you made any advance on the half bitten apple model?
