Origami never ceases to amaze me...

A few days ago I had an approximately 3" x 7" slip of butcher paper left over from a model I was working on. Never able to leave scrap paper alone, I started folding it with no particular destination or shape in mind. Such is the happy habit for many of us, I'd imagine. This prototype is what I came up with. (I hastily diagrammed the work, and now am trying to refine this little fellow.)

I'm not one to anthropomorphize (much), but sometimes I sense there's something patiently waiting in the paper. It whispers to you, and suddenly your restless fingers bring something life.
