Origami Designs by Valerio Cicolini

Post by Valerio_C »

Hello everyone

To introduce myself to this forum, I thought about sharing with you my newest designs.

These are designed mostly from crease pattern, and are not too complex.

I'm still starting out with proper origami designing, so advice is welcome.

Enough talking, here are the models:

Parrot

Image

Designed from a slightly modified bird base, this model is slightly more complex to fold than one might expect, but is still fairly easy.
This was my first model properly made from crease pattern, and was originally intended to be an eagle.
It turned into a different animal, but I'm still happy with the result.

Seal

Image

After making the parrot, I tried to make a beluga dolphin.
Since the front fins are closer to the head than to the tail, I needed a different base, one in which the tips came from the edges rather than
the corners.
Due to the difficulty in making the model recognizable as a beluga, I turned the model into a seal.
This is also an easy model to fold.

Mole

Image

This time I decided to try making a model with six tips. I decided to try to design a monkey, but after about an hour I realized that my approach didn't work. However, I also noticed that the front part of the model looked like a mole coming out of the ground.
I decided to turn the model into a mole, and it became my favourite out of the last three models I made (the ones I'm sharing today).
The base of this model uses division in eights.

I hope you like these models

Feel free to give me advice on design

Have a nice day

Your images haven't embedded properly. You'll need to upload them to an outside site and either embed the BBCode or link them here. I look forward to seeing them. :)

I know it's a bit late, but from mid January to mid April I took a break from Origami.

At least, I can show you the designs I folded (or took a picture of) in April.
