Doesn't the shadow of this simple flower (which happens to be my very first own design) look like a butterfly :-)

A friend of mine folded Kawahata's Pegasus and I think the shadow came out really well even though it wasn't on purpose

I've seen models that project good shadows, but your tree that projects a butterfly shape shadow is awesome!

This appears to be a very simple fold. However, what may at first glance appear to be straight lines is a very gentle curve and takes considerable patients to fold.

In this model the shadow is made by the model and the shadow also is “ON” the model.

In the right light, the model appears to be made from striped paper. However, when the paper is turned ¼ turn the stripes fade. Watch particularly the subtle curve near the diagonal that plays with the light as the model is turned.
