My Origami Scorpion

Post by DrHibbitts »

Hi, I have just uploaded a video of making my origami scorpion and wondered what you thought of it. Any advice greatly appreciated

Part 1 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KIV_HBdWRcs
Part 2 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LA1qin3wEMc

Thanks,
Dave

I think that you did a noble job for your first effort .
Your video will most probably help many, especially those who are a bit daunted by a more complicated scorpion.
I would respectfully beg to offer a suggestion.
1. Perhaps try to keep your model and hands on the table, in view, at all
times, so that viewers may see entire folding process.
2. Lose the rauchous background music. It is distracting as well as
incongruent with thoughtful origami folding.
Again though...Nice first effort !
May I wish success to all who cope with the mountains & valleys of Life,

Thanks for your advice, the reason for the music was that i was recording off my webcam (which led to the problems about camera angle, I am likely to do it again and will try and rig it better next time) I didnt realise it had a microphone so when it came to looking at the footage I ended up having unwanted background noise so as a quick solution I just plonked some music over the top. I thought it would be better to let people see it and get some comments before I commit for a better version.

I have seen a great many origami youtube videos, and there does seem to be quite a learning curve.
You are way ahead of me though, for I have yet to produce
even one video.
Other priorities... ( Climbing the ladder of complexity in origami )
