These are incredible, really beautiful. I love the posture of the swordsmen. :)
Check out my new site http://www.StarOrigami.com! It focuses on origami star sculptures specifically, and provides a little origami background information. Feedback is always welcome - and appreciated.

Thanks! Though I just hope you don't have to wait too long I started diagramming at a pretty rapid pace and then burned out.

Flying Stag Beetle Diagrammed Version!
Image

This model was originally designed in 2002 and had shorter mandibles, shorter wings, and a much messier folding sequence. Around 2005 I updated it by pulling out the wings a bit and giving it larger mandibles. For this version I also upgraded the wings to separate them further from the wing cases.

Folded From: one square of Origamido
Size: 17 cm wingspan
Time spent: 3 1/2 hours total (including shaping)

And here's a video just because...

I haven't posted anything in this thread in a very long while...

I guess the only models I designed since that time were the Titan Beetle, new Giganoto, and new Evangelion.

I have been trying to modify the head of the Giganotosaurus because the teeth in the upper jaw extend too far down the length of the skull; I can fix that easily enough, but then the proportions and angles in the lower jaw get really awkward after that.

Here's a picture of Scott Hartman's Giganotosaurus reconstruction, Dinosaur enthusiasts will immediately notice the shorter and more robust skull relative to earlier depictions.

Titan Beetle Looks awesome! So does the Giganoto and the EVA V3!

Folded your Flying Stag Beetle yesterday with tracing paper.
I'll upload it tomorrow. :D

Interesting findings about the giganotosaurus. Do you think this a comprehensive change or another morph, I.e. gracile and robust?
