Have been folding loads of Kawasaki roses for the girsl at Uni  , and some simpler models to stick to some cards.

Really want to fold some more witches, some elephants and some 2D models that are good yet simple enough to stick on cards.

Hideo Komatsu is a brilliant creator. One thing I have noticed with his models is that no additional shaping is required at the end of most his models; the folds themselves make the model beautiful.

His horse is an excellent example. Most designs require you to shape the completed model in order to give the horse it's elegance. Komatsu's horse does not; fold till the last step and you'll have an excellent model.

yes -thats right - the foldings give the model the right 3d-shaping!.. another good thing on his diagramms - they are very clear drawn and its easy to follow them!
he is a genius!

Yes one day I'll be able to fold his tiger - I hope it's soon!

Today I folded Kawahata's Pteranodon, as diagrammed in Biddle's New Origami. For years I couldn't find the right paper, and always got stuck in a crimp move. I recently had bought some GoldLine paper, which is incredibly strong and thin. This was the paper I finally managed to fold it out of! This paper comes in A3 and A4.

Pics to follow ...

I like that owl... it is very well balanced and can be placed onto a real tree :)

That owl is one of my favorite models,I think it is mostly becasue of the sleepy expression.
My most recent creation was inspired by shintaro's mechanical dinosaur, which I could not get diagrams for so I made this...

This owl is in Origami Tanteidan newsletter #49 (out of print now).
As things go lately - I wouldn't be surprised to see it published
again somewhere soon.

I like the dragon skeleton on your Yahoo! album, Joseph.

Christian - when you folded the Yoshino T Rex skeleton did you find that the lower jaw had to be glued to the head for it to hold together?
Good rendition, BTW.

Thanks, so far the skeletons seem to be my two most popular works. I am planning on making a Mammoth next.
