Perfect sense. It's a great idea because it makes the whole model more interesting - head, tail and wings. I wish I'd thought of it.

So, I need such grandmother... to see Joe and learn some models. 8)
In the flesh? I would say "in the paper" sounds better... or "in the bones..." I doubt the skeleton had flesh... And I don't think I remember it in that pose... but then again, I have quite a bad memory...

Ondrej, I suggest taking your next vacation to Vancouver... It's quite a beautiful place :D I go there every 2 years. Hopefully, you'd get to go to a PALM meeting.

PS: Joseph, did you give away that Dragon in Flight like I told you to, or did you keep it for yourself?

I've experimented a bit more with MC. These models were folded from two sheets of tissue paper glued together with MC. It was supposed to be dual-colour but the colours washed together in the process. (Any hints on that?) The folding properties of the resulting paper were very nice.

It's a known problem.

Daydreamer, You might also try a different brand of tissue paper, I used one brand, Spectra Deluxe Art Tissue, that the colors bleed when wet, when I used Blick Art Tissue the colors didn't bleed through.

I folded a Steer designed by Roman Diaz.

I agree, wonderful model, and superbly folded!

I folded the pill bug by Dr. Lang.

As you can see, the model got ripped. I think I need tougher paper.

Umm... Phil, is your steer eating the desert ground?
Beautiful model. Same with your pill beetle, Aznman.

Because my mom keeps saying that this is my best model yet, I decided to post a picture:

I got the idea from Phil and it works for me, I wet one sheet then slap on a dry one. When I wet them both I don't get the colors bleeding through.

this is my attempt at Ronald Koh's rhino. Image

this is made from kami paper. the legs stuck out, so i put it between very heavy books. it flattened the model, but only for a little while. i think it is because of the kami paper i used. any suggestions on what type of paper i should use next time?

Congratulations! Nice model, I like it. It far looks like Kasahara's system, which is my favorite.
