Scorpion HP, by robert lang. Hex pleating isn't nearly as tiresome as I expected - once you've done the edge markings, the precreasing is relatively easy, and more interesting than box pleating. From a 50 cm square of double tissue.

I'm getting back into origami! This is Miyashita's Deer folded from 35 cm biotope. I hope to improve on this.

I folded Kamiya's Unicorn out of 40 cm Shadow Fold. Unfortunately unlike the insects I've folded in the past, the paper really can't support the weight and I've already had to refold it which I've done from 35 cm Japanese foil and 40 cm tissue foil (the real tissue foil).

What do you mean with "real tissue foil"
?

It is a sandwich of tissue paper and aluminum foil, and not the paper marketed as tissue foil at the Origami Shop.

This month's folding challenge on the French forum is Edwin Corrie's oh-so-cute puppy dog.
Here's a tiny version
Double tissue, 3.2cm (at that scale, every mm counts ^_^ )

Really cute puppy! What's the challenge exactly about?

Thanks, the design is simple and effective (and dates back to 1991 !).
Every month, we have a "folding challenge" with 1-3 diagrammed/CP models to fold. Serves as source of inspiration or motivation. And sometimes you can discover some very nice models, like this puppy I did not know of ^^

Thanks for explaining it to me.
