excellent design! this is one of those creatures which I want to try my hand on too!

This model actually was challenging to get color changes. I wanted the body to have a color change, but most origami tarantulas put the body flap in the center of the paper, where it is impossible to get a color change. In my design, the cephalothorax of this model actually is a flap.

Almost does resemble one haha.

If I were to change this design into a betta, it would require a lot of flap manipulation on the guppy design; since the pelvic and anal fins are from the same flap, making the pelvic fins long and near the front of the design would be rather difficult.
