Origami Cape Buffalo and Oxpecker
Designed and Folded by Roodborst

Cape buffalo from a 45cm x 45cm square of triple tissue.
Oxpecker from a square of 3cm x 3cm of tissue foil.

Designing this model was part of the Origami Design Tournament (ODST).
Topic: 2 two in two, make two complementary models from two sheets.

The Cape Buffalo and the Oxpecker live in symbiose with oneanother. The oxpecker eats the flies from the buffalo, thus both species benefit from each other.

ODST 2013 Hermite Crab and Sea Anemone by roodborst078, on Flickr

Origami Hermite Crab and Sea Anemone.
Crab from a 40cm square of tissue foil.
Anemone from a 30 cm square of tissue foil.

Designing this model was part of the Origami Design Tournament (ODST).
Topic: 2 two in two, make two complementary models from two sheets.

The hermite crab grabs a anemone and places it on his shell to protect himself from octopus attacks. The anemone rides on his back capturing food for himself. This is also a Symbiose just as with the buffalo and oxpecker.

Changed some things on the buffalo and then wetfolded it with a 40cm square of elephant hide. My dog seems to like it too

Swamp Snapper.
Because of it recent discovery little is known of this creature. We know it lives in colonies of around 2000 snappers. They live around the swamps and marches and live mostly on anaconda meat. As they hunt in packs of 300 indivuals they can take down these fearsome snakes in less then 10 minutes. With their large mouths the swamp snappers take huge bites out of the snake. The entire colony can live on one grown snake for about a month.

Camelus Lupus by roodborst078, on Flickr

Description:
The camelus lupus, more commonly known as the camelwolf lives around vulcanic areas on the tundras in Mongoly. Because of unique bacterias in its intestents the animal is able to drink lava. It is believed that the animal was unable to find enough watersources in its habitat and evolved this unique trade. The water/lava mixture is stored in the big lump on its back. Much like his close cousin the dromedary.
Because the lump als generates heat, the migratory people that live on these tundras have domesticated the camelwolf. In wintertime they keep up to three animals in their tents, to keep them warm. It is also believed that by emitting heat from its lump the camelwolf protects itself from predators.

Thanks chesscuber. I haven't really watched alot of pokemon because I was already to old when they started showing them in the netherlands (almost hitting the big 30...). Still its a great compliment. There should be a way to sell these kind of concepts to pokemon, or a new zelda game, or george lucas or something similar.

The wolf is going to be my entry for the final, since I can only enter with one model.
