Re: Roodborst
@ baltorigamist: To be honest, I've never even tried to make a crease pattern. But recently I tried using inkscape and I've been able to create my first diagrams, to send in for the origami christmas book. So maybe if I tried I could make some CP's for my models. There is also the problem of having to unfold my model to see the CP...

Uncut square of 25xcm tissue foil.
Description: I was trying to make the spotted linsang, so I used yellow on black tissue foil. I used a pic of a genet to do the final shaping. It's a species closely related to cats. It took a bunch of testfolds to get the tail as long as the body. I noticed the colorchange on the face when doing the final fold with tp, that's the only part I'm not. satisfied with.

Re: Roodborst
I had a good idea for the face/head of a fox and some new bases to work with so I did a redesign of a bat eared fox (The grey/black one), the brown one was the testfold. Much better then the old one!

Re: Roodborst
I agree that the gray/black fox is a much better fold, the reference and the folded model look so similar!

@OrigamiGeek and @DebtlessWharf39
Thanks guys, I really like those foxes aswell. Took me alot of (test) folds to get them looking like this.
Here is my new model, first fold btw. I'm refolding it now, but I forgot how I made the head the first time. I really hate that...

Re: Roodborst
best prima al zou ik het liefst groter papier gebruiken om dat kreukelige weg te krijgen.
nice, i would use bigger sheets of paper to make te models look more neet

@ origamigeek:
Thank you. I really like it that you keep commenting in my gallery!
@sammeeuwis
Because I design my models just by folding, and refolding and testfolding, not by making a Crease pattern first I usually have no idea how big the folded model will become. So I do most my testfolds with squares of aprox 20cm. That way I can get 6 squares out of sheet of tissue foil. When I really like the model I'll do a refold with bigger or nicer paper. Also when I started I used really big paper, but I don't like it if the models are 10cm since then I got nowhere to place them. (Tossed away a kamiya horse of 30cm a couple of weeks ago)
Looking forward to see some of you're folds by the way, there aren't a lot of dutch folders active on this forum, to my knowledge.
PS my dog stepped on my keyboard, and now my 'L' button is kind off stuck, so if there are any L's missing in the above text I apologize

Re: Roodborst
Origami horse
Designed and folded by Roodborst078
Folded from a square of 45cm of tissue foil.
Description: I've bought a large plate of plexiglass and some bookbindersglue to make some new paper. Before this I used sprayglue. To create this color I glued a sheet of orange tissue on top of a sheet of purple. It turned out this great red/brown color! The above one is red on white.
I'm thinking about diagramming this horse, if you're interested, let me know.

Re: Roodborst
Ok I'll diagram the horse, it might take some time though. Working on a striped hyena right now. It's a hyena with a kinda of mohawk like mane running from the back of the head all the way to the tail. Already did a bunch of testfolds and made some paper yesterday. I got a nice looking yellow, although I didn't have any black for the other side. I'll just see how it works out. stay tuned!

origami striped hyena wip by roodborst078, on Flickr
This remains a work in progress, It still not close enough to the real animal. The idea I had to create the manes did work, so that's nice.
